What it is
The everyday rice of Isan and the North, steamed in bamboo baskets and served in a little woven basket. Eat it with your right hand: pull off a small ball, press it flat and use it to scoop up food.
How to order it
Kho khao niao, then just keep the basket closed so it stays warm.
